Write everything down!  No matter who you speak to, no matter how trivial the conversation seemed, record it!  You just never know when you’ll be thinking “I’m sure I told them this before”.  If you’ve written it down, you’ll be able to refer back to your notes any time you’re in doubt.  Plus, writing everything down ensures that if you’re off sick or on holidays someone else can pick up any file and read exactly where things are up to!
