My 3 Favourite Books

Everyone has their own favourite books, and I’m certainly no exception.

So today I wanted to share with you the 3 books that I read over and over again and have made the biggest difference in my business and personal life:

The Four Hour Work Week, by Timothy Ferriss www.FourHourWorkWeek.com.au Tim Ferriss takes you through his journey from working 80 hours per week to hacking the Pareto Principle (the 80-20 Principle) and using it to eliminate himself from his business, taking mini retirements throughout the year, rather than saving up his retirement for later on in life.

For me, I don’t actually want to work 4 hours per week, but the book taught me some principles I’ve used in life and business to get efficient (doing things right) and effective (doing the right things).

I read this book at least once a year, and I also have the audio version which I listen to repeatedly.

I’m also a huge fan of the Tim Ferriss Show Podcast if you’re looking for something to listen to while driving!

Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill www.thinkandgrowrich.com Commissioned by Andrew Carnegie to study many individuals who had amassed personal fortunes over a period of 20 years, Napoleon Hill takes his learnings and breaks them down into 13 principles that were common to all those individuals.

It’s an old book, but the concepts are as true today as they were back then.

I think this was one of the first business books I ever read and it still impacts me today.

I go back and read sections of it again and again, reminding myself of the practices of the successful people who came before me.

Get Rich Lucky Bitch, by Denise Duffield-Thomas www.luckybitch.com This one is a recent publication, and also a recent addition to my bookshelf.

Denise is an Aussie girl who focusses on mindset shifts to create wealth. While her niche is “money mindsets”, her principles apply to all aspects of life.

Releasing blockages relating to wealth are applicable to releasing any blockages you have in other areas of your life.

I love Denise’s writing style because it sounds like she’s sitting there chatting to me. It’s definitely written with ladies in mind, but the gents can also get plenty of value from it too!
